TRAINING

In our training you will find out how the whole process of coffee production looks like up to the point when it ends up in your cup. You will find out who can really be called a Barista and who just poses as one. You will gain a better understanding of the secret how to recognize the unique character of a cup of coffee regardless of the way it was prepared. 

This is the right place if you want to develop your skills and perfect your techniques in preparing coffee using different methods. This is the right way of expressing your creativity. 

We have divided the trainings into three categories:

HOME BARISTA– Home Barista training is aimed primarily at coffee lovers who do not wish to pursue a professional career in coffee preparation, but do want to recognize what they are drinking in their favorite coffee house or in their home.

The content of the training

  • Coffee theory – level 1
  • Granulation/Tuning the coffee grinder
  • Espresso extraction
  • Alternative preparation methods
  • Knowledge of machines and their hygiene and maintenance

 

BASIC BARISTA– Basic Barista training will give you the necessary foundation which you can build on with further experience and it is aimed primarily at people who wish to devote themselves professionally to the coffee world.

  • Coffee theory- Level 2
  • Granulation/ Tuning the coffee grinder
  • Espresso extraction
  • Coffee freshness, the influence on the quality of the espresso
  • Alternative preparation methods
  • Proper use and maintenance of machines and appliances
  • Milk pitching/ cream
  • Free pour/ Pouring techniques 
  • Preparation techniques for coffee based beverages

 

ADVANCED BARISTA– Advanced barista training is aimed at those who wish to gain a broad knowledge of the world of coffee, that they could build upon on their own accord and with their own ideas. It is also aimed at those who wish to pursue a professional coffee career.

  • Coffee freshness, the influence on the quality of the espresso

Barista coaches

IVAN KRSTIC

One of the oldest members of the Java family. He has been in the hospitality industry for a long time, and he has been in the coffee industry for the last 10 years. He is a champion of unusual tastes, an absolute supporter of fusing the infusible, famous for saying: “Contrast and symmetry, please!” His life motto is: Coffee will save the world!
